


The war of Kargil was fought between India and Pakistan from May to July 1999 in the Kargil district of the Union Territory of Ladakh. After the initiation of War by Pakistan by infiltrating the Indian territories and LOC, the Indian Army initiated operation Vijay to irradicate the infiltration. Indian Air Force carried out Operation Safed Sagar whereas the Indian Navy revolted back with Operation Talvar.

Kargil War changed the perspective of the entire world towards India, from a very passive and weak nation to a strong and brave nation. It was only possible because of our real-life heroes, the soldiers of the Indian Army. The Indian government presented Gallantry Awards to the Heroes of the Nation for their extra ordinary strength, valor and keeping the integrity of the nation intact.
